Supporters of this series may find the latest collection to be uneven, although there are some informative and provocative shorts, like a transgender woman wanting to have sex with a curious heterosexual. An animated film from Egypt about how gays are treated there may be the first critical animation to come out of that country, while an excellent documentary about the experiences of doctors, friends and nurses during the AIDS-crisis in the ‘80s is an eye-opener. The best is an understated Dutch film where two ex-lovers talk before one gets an HIV-test, while a young man dreaming about a boyfriend in video-style form, where every shot has meaning, also deserved inclusion. But a Norwegian film about a boy and his mom arguing endlessly should not have made the cut.
