Starring Mark Ruffalo and Matt Bomer. Director: Ryan Murphy.
After witnessing the gruesome murder that Andrew Cunanan committed in the series American Crime Story, it might be good to check out this earlier Ryan Murphy made-for-TV film about a group of gay activists, led by a fiery group who, during 1981 – 1984, the darkest days of the AIDS-crisis, tried to force the government to admit there was a crisis. In between, many men died not understanding that the disease was transferred by unprotected sex. Great acting, especially from Mark Ruffalo and Matt Bomer, supports this compassionate and emotional tribute to the courageous people who made a difference. Comparable to BPM.
