The popular Duster has been revamped and it is impressive what they have been able to do while keeping the price tag so very affordable.

Its new assertive and robust exterior look and the more trendy interior has hit the adventurous spirit jackpot, plus it is extremely light on fuel.

With a 6-speed automatic transmission, 80kW and 250Nm it has certain off-road capability whilst performing very well in the city. Handling is agile, it has a very slight turbo lag, but overall the driving experience is very pleasurable.

This is a capable SUV, offering toughness and reliability with a class leading ground clearance of 210mm. The 17-inch alloy wheels make a good impression and there is a full spare tyre attached to the bottom of the car. The chrome trim grille and headlights with C-shaped daytime running lights are beautiful, and so are the new rear lights. Branded and more prominent roof bars add to the muscular aesthetic.

The interior is very spacious front and back and boasts beautiful leather seats with an adjustable armrest for the driver. Loading space is extensive, especially with the back seats down, although it does not make an even loading surface. The dash and centre console are well designed and attractive, however the less attractive hard plastics stand in contrast to the leather seats.
I am not a huge fan of the Renault infotainment system and it doesn’t have CarPlay or Android Auto, but their system is simple and user-friendly. I love the card shaped key that slips into your pocket without making a big ugly lump and the keyless entry system is very effective. Other comforts are automatic climate control, a speed limiter, cruise control, hill start assist, a multiview camera, and much more.

I am very impressed by this upgrade, it was a worthy finalist for Car Of The Year!
