Where do I begin? Born in the ‘60s as the youngest of five, my life has been a journey rich with stories and experiences.

My early years were shaped by time split between my parents’ farm on the district border between Bronkhorstspruit and Witbank, where I spent many weekends, and city life during the week, where I developed what one might call “city slicker” habits. After conscription, I pursued hospitality studies at Wits, which sent my life on an exhilarating roller-coaster ride.

Eventually, I found my way into the tourism industry, a career path I loved. However, COVID-19 abruptly halted this, forcing me to reflect deeply on my purpose and calling.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a deep sense of empathy and a desire to help others, though I wasn’t always sure how. Little did I know that my path would eventually lead me to Kahuna Bodywork, a journey that began after the tragic loss of my husband in 2018. This devastating event became a turning point, guiding me to a new purpose through what I believe to be divine intervention. I trained as a Kahuna bodyworker and now dedicate myself to this powerful practice, finding immense fulfilment in helping others on their journey to healing and rejuvenation.

Kahuna Bodywork, also known as Lomi-Lomi Temple Massage, is an ancient healing art that uses deep, rhythmic, full-body massage techniques to release stagnant energy, improve circulation, and relieve stress. This sacred practice combines the use of fingers, knuckles, heels, palms, forearms, and elbows in harmony, helping clients restore their body’s natural flow of energy. The therapy is deeply relaxing, offering not only physical relief but emotional clarity and balance by addressing emotional blockages that may affect well-being.

Currently, I split my time between Alberton, where I work Monday to Thursday, and my parents’ home in Waverley, Pretoria, where I see clients over the weekend. My goal is to expand my practice, bringing the transformative benefits of Kahuna Bodywork to a wider audience. Whether it’s for relaxation, stress relief, or emotional healing, my mission is to guide others toward a balanced, rejuvenated, and empowered sense of self.
