Powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 120kW and 270Nm of torque, paired with a 48-volt mildhybrid system that adds 10kW which provides smoother power delivery. An 8-speed dual clutch transmission ensures seamless gear changes in urban settings and overtaking conditions in highway driving. Pricey compared to many lesser offerings that may be more spacious but without the attention to detail and iconic three-star appeal. Mercedes Benz has an excellent history of building future classics that remain attractive for decades which adds future resale value. This appealing car is one of the most interesting options in its class and a good choice for owners on a quest for an attractive offering of luxury and compact SUV practicality.
Ultimately these buyers would consider all the alternatives, but I think few could match the aesthetic appeal of the GLA.
Pricing is a challenge but includes a generous list of standard options which makes the optional extras less of a challenge for more budget conscious buyers.
