How is Jeremiah Brent as Bobby Berk’s ‘Queer Eye’ replacement? The gay reviews are in.

Queer Eye’s Fab Five became a Fab Four in November 2023 when interior design expert Bobby Berk revealed that the Netflix reality show’s eighth season would be his last.

In a subsequent interview with Vanity Fair, Berk said that he thought the cast had “all moved on” when their seven-cycle contract ended in September 2022—and that he was surprised when his costars signed up for more cycles of the show. (He also confirmed that he and fashion expert Tan France had a feud—a “moment,” as Berk put it—from which they were still recovering.)

Then, in February 2024, Netflix named Berk’s replacement: Jeremiah Brent, the founder of a self-named design firm and the lifestyle brand Atrio, a veteran of renovation TV shows, and the husband of interior designer Nate Berkus.

Producers had approached him to be one of the Fab Five when the Netflix reboot was still in development, but said no because he and Berkus had a young child on their hands at the time, the 40-year-old told Curbed in a recent interview.

Now, coming in for Season 9, Brent had his work cut out for him.
