From Ncuti Gatwa to Kaytranda, here are the Black Queer men nominated during awards season 2025.

We eagerly anticipate the coming months of ceremonies highlighting excellence in film, TV, music, and more.

This awards season offers the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the Black queer men pushing the boundaries in the entertainment industry – including acting, costume design, singing, and music writing and production. (The Golden Globes kicked off awards season on January 5.)

Colman Domingo earned numerous nominations for his lead performance in Sing Sing.

Paul Tazewell continues to drive Oscar and Tony talk for his costume design work in the movie musical Wicked and the hit Broadway musical Death Becomes Her. Then there are the Feb. 2 Grammy Awards, where Durand Bernarr and Kaytranada picked up nominations within the R&B and Dance categories.

These men’s nominations are more than personal accolades—they’re milestones for representation and visibility in an entertainment industry where our voices, stories, and talents aren’t always heralded or valued. So in honor of the outstanding individuals representing the Native Sons this awards season, we’ve pulled together a complete list of the Black queer men who’ve received nominations.
