And that’s perhaps why a university crew team is the perfect setting for a queer romance. Enter See You At The Finish Line, a brand-new novel from emerging author Zac Hammett that’s already heading to the screen and is being buzzed about as the next Red, White & Royal Blue.
At the heart of the story are two Cambridge University students and rowing teammates who don’t exactly get along: There’s George, an all-American hunk who came from across the pond on athletic scholarship, and the more book-smart Lucas, who’s had to work for everything he’s got.
When word gets out that George receives some “preferential treatment” from the university, he’s going to have to actually study for the first time in his life, so he turns to Lucas for help, who only relents on the condition that George coaches through wooing his long-time crush, Amir.
But the more time this odd couple spends together, the more they realize what they’ve really been looking for might have been sitting across the row boat from them all along
