Apple’s $999 ultra-thin smartphone comes in five stunning colours – but it’s missing a key feature.
Apple has finally unveiled the new iPhone 17 lineup, and this year’s Apple says it has made the ‘biggest leap ever for iPhone’.
The new iPhone 17 launches with some basic but important upgrades, while the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max boast new hardware and a new look.
But the highlight of today’s event is the long-anticipated iPhone 17 Air – the first new flagship model since 2020’s iPhone Mini.
Measuring just 5.6 mm thick, the ultra-slim iPhone 17 Air is Apple’s thinnest device yet by a wide margin.
The iPhone 17 Air is a third thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and even slimmer than rival Samsung‘s 5.8mm S25 Edge.
The new device comes in four stunning colours: space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue, previously seen on the M4 MacBook Air.
With a 6.5-inch Pro Motion display, a lightweight titanium frame, and Apple’s latest A19 Pro chip, the iPhone 17 Air is a serious upgrade in several big ways.
However, to pack all that into the thinnest iPhone yet, Apple has had to make a few sacrifices, leaving the iPhone 17 Air lacking key features.
