We’re finally getting more clues to Ricky Martin‘s fate on Palm Royale and we are very concerned!

It’s been nearly 18 months since viewers saw the Apple TV+ Apple TV series’ season one finale which concluded with Martin’s character Robert, a closeted Korean war veteran-turned-resort waiter, being shot.
If you recall, throughout the first season, the role required Martin to appear in various stages of undress as Robert came to terms with his authentic self.

The campy series centered on 1960s Palm Beach high society with Kristen Wiig’s character Maxine attempting to infiltrate the A-list mean girls clique run by the likes of Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Kaia Gerber, Laura Dern and Carol Burnett.
But with the season ending with Martin critically injured, fans were worried his character may get written out for the second season.
On Thursday, AppleTV dropped the first trailer for the upcoming season of Palm Royale and we can safely report that Martin is in it … but just barely.
The ageless 53-year-old appears in exactly three scenes and in two of them he’s unconscious. That’s homophobic!
While immaculately coiffed, Robert is first seen lying out cold in a hospital bed while an unidentified character sits at his side.
A second scene shows him once again unconscious but with Burnett, who plays wealthy socialite Norma Dellacorte, sitting at his hospital bedside and promising to enact revenge. “I will destroy her once and for all,” she says as Martin lies motionless.
The only actual proof of life we get also throws it back to Martin’s song and dance roots.
In what could possibly be a dream sequence, Martin commands the stage in a sparkling tux during an elaborate musical number.
At least for this one moment, he’s livin’ la vida loca…
