Happy Pride Month, y’all! While we’re sure you’ll be busy with parades, protests, and plenty of other Pride activities over the next few weeks, we realize you can’t be on the move for all of June.

And that’s exactly why we’re happy to have so many streaming options—you know, to give us something to unwind with in between all the festivities!
And, right on cue, there are plenty of amazing new queer TV series, films, and specials dropping on streaming platforms throughout the month to help you celebrate the season.
Across the major streamers, this month will see the premiere of a groundbreaking gay series from Poland, the next chapter in the fang-banging Interview With The Vampire saga, documentaries about creepy model cults & sex-positive TV legends, and not one but two major—and majorly gay—awards shows: The Tonys and the Las Culturistas Culture Awards. And that’s to say nothing of the many favorites that will be available online throughout June, classics old (like Midnight Cowboy, Xanadu) and new (Pillion, I Saw The Tv Glow).

Spotlight: Mapplethorpe, 2018 (June 11)
Former Doctor Who Matt Smith ditched the tweed coats & bowties for leather harnesses & chains to play Robert Mapplethorpe, the boundary-pushing photographer who helped bring queer culture out of the underground and into the mainstream art scene with his provocative portraits. The biopic also doubles as a snapshot of gay life in NYC during the LGBTQ+ liberation movement, with the artist’s friends & contemporaries—like Patti Smith (Marianne Rendón) & Sam Wagtsaff (John Benjamin Hickey)—in supporting roles.

- Fried Green Tomatoes, 1991 (June 1): A true lesbian classic, this literary adaptation (with Kathy Bates & Jessica Tandy) is about intergenerational sisterhood in a small Southern town.
- Muriel’s Wedding, 1994 (June 1): With a quirky sense of humor and an ABBA soundtrack, gays adore this Aussie comedy about a social outcast (Toni Colette) on the hunt for love.
- Bros, 2022 (June 1): Nearly four years later, without the weight of box expectations, let’s just enjoy Billy Eichner‘s gay rom-com for what it is: a really good gay rom-com!
- Little Brother (June 25): There’s plenty of homoeroticism between John Cena & Eric Andre in this bromantic comedy, plus it’s got supporting turns from out stars Caleb Hearon & Sherry Cola!
