Where are all the Muscle Marys? Come closer because you will want to hear this! But seriously, this one is for the adventurous type of guy who likes surfing, mountain biking, paragliding, and even motocross or off-road motorcycling. All that stuff, you know?

This special edition double cab lives up to its name, because it really is an athlete. Firstly it is dressed like one. It boasts a sporty two-tone body kit with bold orange and black exterior design cues and matching interior trimmings, like very comfy beautiful two tone embroidered leather seats.
It has a sexy new grille and powder-coated diamond cut 17-inch alloy wheels. The Athlete comes in black and grey and has an assertive sports bar with an integrated tailgate spoiler. With all of this, it screams adventure every time you see it.
Then, it also performs like a rock-hard athlete in his prime years. Together with a responsive turbodiesel engine (with a slight turbo lag) that puts a smile on your face when you put your foot down. It is also strong as an ox with a towing capacity of 3,1 tons and with the quickest acceleration in a towing test by international CAR magazine. So, tow away with all your extreme lifestyle equipment.
All athletes are also concerned with safe practices, so the Triton team has fixed it with seven airbags, side-impact protection bars and a high tensile steel body structure. This sporty outdoorsy bakkie is the perfect fit for guys with a trendy active lifestyle, and who want to live to experience as many adventures as they can. The interior is quite luxurious for a double cab, faring well against the top notch interior of the Navara. I am no great fan of the Mitsubishi infotainment system and you may need to add a boost to your sound system if you are someone who loves loud music.
