As a teaser to the full behind the scenes scoop that we will be publishing in our Winter 2019 edition of Gay Pages, here are some images of the winner announcement and category winners!

Kevin du Plessis goes into detail about this year’s fabulous event in Cape Town and what the delegates got up to, as well as who really stood out! Well, that and the juicy pictures you have been waiting to see! All of this in the 91st edition of Gay Pages which will be on shelves and live on the digital side on 10 June 2019.

Editor of Gay Pages, Rubin van Niekerk, was  head judge for the competition for the second year in a row and said that the contestants were all inspiring in their own way and deserving of the their home country titles and that those who came out on top really deserved their wins. 

Janjep took home first prize in the categories for Formal Wear, National Costume, Swimwear, and the Written Tests. The winner of the Personal Interview category went to Mr Gay Thailand, Chayodhom Samibat. The Sports Challenge was won by Germany’s Marcel Danner, the Cooking Challenge went to Finland’s Ismo Poutianien, and the Social Media Challenge as well as the Online Vote went to Hungary’s Oliver Pusztai.

Tiger, Shigetake, the Asian sweetheart with an English accent from Japan won the Social Responsibility category as well as Mr. Congeniality, as voted by his fellow contestants.
