Chef David Higgs (Marble) and Gary Kyriacou have opened their latest venue, aptly named Saint. The food is Italian in inspiration, and the décor puts this restaurant firmly on the international stage. 3D projectors create a moving artwork on the dome above the tables, which is a marvel on its own.
On the menu you’ll find interesting dishes such as squid ink croquettes, wood-fired steaks and some of the best gnocchi in Jo’burg. The pizzas are the stars of this restaurant and are simply fantastic; Neapolitan in style, with both tomato base and bianca (without tomato base) options available. Do pause at the bar to take in the stunning sculpture of a gigantic and angelic male form, while sipping on one of their elegant cocktails. The experience is fun yet elegant.
With hostesses dressed by David Tlale, this restaurant pushes the boundaries between a place to eat and a full-on immersive art experience. A great place to meet, eat, and celebrate…sinfully!
