Ford announces investment of R15.8-billion for SA

Ford has announced an investment of 15.8-billion rand into South Africa – the biggest investment in Ford’s 97-year South African history. And a massive one for the automative industry. eNCA’s Heidi Giokos is at the plant

President Cyril Ramaphosa continues to set his sights on international investment. 

Ford announced an investment of R15.8-billion into South Africa, the biggest investment in Ford’s 97-year South African history.

Part of the investment will go towards upgrading the Silverton Assembly Plant. 

The country has amassed billions in investment through special economic zones since 2014.

Ramaphosa conducted an oversight visit at the Tshwane Automotive Special Economic Zone construction site.
