Our study compared 100 nude beach spots across the following categories: beach quality, safety, weather, and hotel cost (with seven data points). We then ranked the top 25 nude beaches globally, with the best location per country.
We found the following about the best nude beaches:
- Lokrum Island in Croatia (a small uninhabited island) is the best skinny dipping location globally, beating out other great nude beaches across the globe.
- The second spot goes to Spiaggia Della Lecciona in Italy, a famous gay nude beach.
- Maslin Beach, Australia’s first official nude beach with rugged cliffs and views, takes the third spot.
- The Washougal River in Washington State is the top location in the USA, with picnic rocks and flowing streams.
- The Praia de Galhet is the best location in Brazil, with white sand beaches and a naturally preserved area.
