Hyundai Motor reveals the new Santa Fe

The enhanced version of Hyundai’s flagship SUV, the Santa Fe, offers a range of premium updates and new hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

It was great to experience the Hyundai Santa Fe in the beautiful setting of Muldersdrift and Cradle of man where we had the opportunity to drive on a variety of road surfaces. This enhanced version of Hyundai’s flagship SUV in Europe offers a range of premium updates and new hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. A new third-generation vehicle platform provides a rock solid feel with improved performance, efficiency and safety.

It is the 20th anniversary of Hyundai’s longest-running SUV and is respected for comfort, roominess, comprehensive standard features and visual appearance.

Ergonomic sense means everything is within easy reach and the cupholder can be closed when not in use and the tray under the console provides additional storage space.

Following the popularity of the Kona Electric and Hybrid, Hyundai’s best-selling subcompact SUV, Hyundai expands its electrified SUV line-up to its flagship SUV in Europe. The new Santa Fe is the first Hyundai in Europe to go on sale with the new ‘Smartstream’ hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain.

The new platform improves air movement through the engine bay and allows heat to dissipate, which enhances stability. Improved aerodynamics minimise air resistance and optimises performance and fuel efficiency.

Significant improvements in collision safety, thanks to improvements in engineering enables o better absorption of impact in the event of a collision while at the same time minimising the deformation of the passenger space. It competes with several large SUV’s, but is well worth the test drive.
